2% Ceriated tungsten electrode contains 2% cerium oxide(CeO 2 ) that is different from Thoriated as it is a non-radioactive material. It can be used with DC or AC. Under the condition of low DC, Ceriated Tungsten electrode has better performance than Thoriated Tungsten electrodes.
Generally used to weld carbon & stainless steel, nickel alloy and titanium
